DS (9) hit his head playing football on tuesday night (on the astroturf after a tackle). Had a bit of a cry but got up and carried on. Early Wednesday he had a big headache and feeling a bit dizzy, luckily I managed to get him seen by GP first thing. She was clear to go to A&E if worse, sickness, change in personality etc. but otherwise go home, rest, no sport and to be patient.

48 hours on, headache hasn't got any worse, but hasn't got any better either (though the diziness has gone which is a good sign I suppose). I have a thoroughly fed up child, calpol doesn't help, ibuprofen does a bit (was told not to take it in first 24 hours but ok after that).

No experience of this - wondering how long we can expect this to go on for.
