7 year old keeps winking one eye

My DS randomly and out of no where has started to wink his right eye, every few minutes through the day.

He opens his eye wide and then blinks it closed (like a noticeable shut eye wink)
He says it's because his eye lashes are sticking together but I am worried as I have health anxiety and worry about brain tumours 😩

He has had his eyes tested after this started and they are perfect according to the optometrist.

Is it likely to be a habit, Tic or just something kids do at this age?

Anyone else experience this? 🥺

It’s a common tic at that kind of age, i remember my sister did similar. She grew out of it!

Anyone?

Pretty common. They grow out of it.

If he's been to get them tested, they'll have had a good look. I wouldn't be worrying about brain tumours.

My son is nearly five and this has just started happening for him too. Nothing wrong with his eye so it’s a tic. How long does it typically take for them to grow out of it?
