Baby progress stalled

Hi all

my DS is currently 7 months old. He has always been an alert and sociable baby which is something people have commented on frequently. He started rolling over I think around 5ish months. However since then there has been very little progress with regards to his movements. He has stopped rolling on his accord, he can’t sit on his own without being held up (he does hold his back straight and his head but he topples over) and he isn’t showing any signs of crawling. His development in other areas seems to be coming on well. I have never been a parent to compare as I know babies and children do things in their own time but where he seemed more advanced than some of my friends babies they have not surpassed him. We also met a couple at dinner last night whose baby was a week older than mine and they were talking about how their baby was crawling and pulling himself up on things, this has made me even more worried.

should I seek advice from a GP or are these things normal? Would be good to hear some views.

Thanks
