Panicking about how quickly this wart has changed

I’m getting in touch with the GP tomorrow morning, but panicking overnight because I stupidly turned to Google.

Dd had a small lump on her toe a few days ago. I put a wart plaster on it two days ago and changed it last night. I took it off tonight when she got in the bath and the wart has become much bigger and changed colour. It has really freaked me out. Is this normal?

That looks like a big verruca.

Lovelyview · 09/09/2024 22:29

The wart plaster has probably made everything swell up. Get it checked but I wouldn't worry.

Jifmicroliquid · 09/09/2024 22:31

I think that’s a huge verucca. That might need freezing off.

theduchessofspork · 09/09/2024 22:32

Is it the water, or a treatment cream you had under the plaster? Anyway it just looks like a big verruca so get it checked but don’t panic

Thank you all for replying so quickly. I can’t believe how quickly it has gone from a pinprick to a massive thing!

Thankfully the GP’s are on internet requests only so I can whizz the pictures over first thing. Poor dd-I’ve never had a wart or verruca so I have no idea what they feel like, but having it frozen off sounds like it will sting!!

@theduchessofspork the ring thing around it is skin I think-the plasters are impregnated with the treatment but don’t leave a cream residue. Her foot is wet though.

Looks like the treatment is working - killing the skin around it ?

Wartywartyyukyuk · 09/09/2024 23:00

@Pootle40 that is what I thought before I stupidly googled. Thank you.
