My DD has been having on and off tummy cramps for nearly 2 weeks now😔along with awful night time wakings with sore tummy and on and off loose stools. Gp has finally requested a stool sample after I said I can’t really keep her on round the clock painkillers for 2 weeks. I managed it tonight and saw this- am I right thinking this looks like a threadworm and could explain the tummy cramps? There was only this one in the sample which is odd but not sure what else it could be. I’ve been woken every 2 hours by her for 2 weeks now with sore tummy so I’m beyond tired and worried now and just want to get to the bottom of it and GP said sample may take a week to come back 😔she’s exhausted at school because of the night wakings as normally sleeps like a dream.

We've had worms soany times I've lost count .they have always been the threadworm type and much smaller than that
It looks more like some normal bowel mucus or a bit of the lining which sheds normally .
As I say the worms we've had are much smaller and wriggling in the poo.
