So I live in Spain and they are very big on phase1 orthodontic treatment. My son had a palate expander put on 10 months ago..he definitely had a crossbite. Within the cost of treatment for 3 months she put on a brace for his 4 permanent front teeth as they were very misaligned. He had that taken off last week and the palate expander in 8. The teeth that had the brace on feel very very rough. I wasn't at the appointment as I work full time, so his dad was there . I'm now freaking out that his enamel has been damaged , as I can see scratch marks and can't tell if its left over glue/ damaged enamel/ or just needs a polish. He has an appt on 3 weeks and I'm reluctant to call before then incase I lose my shit as I'm stressing so bad . What I'm hoping is she just hasn't polished until she takes the palate expander off ... I just dont see how such a top dental clinic would damage a 9 year olds teeth.
