Swimmers ear? Philippines advice😬

I wondered if anyone could advise… I’m currently on holiday in the Philippines with my DS, age 11. He’s in a bit of pain with his ear. From what I’ve just read it sounds like ‘swimmers ear’. It sounds very silly of me to say I hadn’t though but he had the same pain last year and the year before, I know I should’ve thought about this.
Does anyone know if I am ok getting something from the pharmacy or if we should go to the doctors?

Over here we have Ear calm which is a branded name for acetic acid. Have a google and see if you can find something similar out there, obviously ask at pharmacy.
