2 year old daughter’s genitals look different

sorry for the the weird question but…

since she was born her bits look like they have a kind of skin or seal over the entrance part. I assumed it was hymen but now I’m not so sure.

Just this last week it looks different. It looks like it’s more open and this cover is gone.

She is healthy otherwise and hasn’t shown any signs of distress.

is this normal? I feel too embarrassed to ask my mum.

I think that some babies are born with a thin skin covering there. There was a baby on here years ago - I think there was a type of cream they used to release it slowly. I'd speak to your HV and just check.
