Refllux causing chocking and breathing issues

My baby has reflux and especially at night it seems like she has stomach acid or milk stuck in her throat. Her voice becomes hoarse, she keeps clearing her throat and there are times she chokes. It's all very scary. There was this one time it seemed like she was struggling to breathe. I had to do chest compressions and then she seemed fine. Is this normal for reflux? I'm trying to get better medication prescribed.

Made a spelling mistake in the title. * choking

It's not normal but not unusual in reflux babies. We had a couple of incidences where I had to quickly whip my daughter out of her cot as she was choking on her reflux. Absolutely speak to a Dr about reflux treatment asap it might also be worth considering cmpa too
