Lump inside nose - polyp?

My 10 year old dd has noticed this evening a lump inside her nostril. I had a look with a torch and can see it quite clearly, just in one side. I looked in my own nose for comparison and can't see anything like it. Could it be a nasal polyp? Or something more sinister? Is a nasal polyp on its own dangerous? I'm panicking a bit, and so is she, but I have told her it's nothing to worry about for now.

My DD had this too and Gp said it was a polyp- we saw an ENT consultant about 6 months later for something unrelated and I asked him to take a look to confirm the polyp as I was worried too, and had been using the steroid spray the GP had prescribed with no change to it at all. He took one look and scoffed and said it’s not a poly it’s a nasal turbinate and nothing to worry about. All GP’s get this wrong.

Now obviously I can’t say it’s definitely the same for your situation but hopefully it is as ENT consult said polyps are very rare in kids.

Thank you so much, that has made me feel a bit better. I will make an appointment with the GP to check hers out, I know it's not definitely the same thing but I feel better knowing there's a possibility of it being something minor.
