Any similar babies/infants out there?

My son has been difficult to feed from 4m old. Very easily distracted and ended up weaning at 5m because his milk intake dropped dramatically. Now he’s 10m and won’t drink a single drop of milk unless in deep sleep and will eat a few mouthfuls of food before getting bored and screaming the house down. Managing to get food in him using distraction techniques but it’s incredibly tiring. Anyone else have a similar baby? Would find it useful to hear what others have done and if it’s something they grown out of!

Have you checked him for ear infections?
It may be that the swallowing is making his ears painful.

Ds went on nursing strike at about that age for around a week. The doctors reckoned his ear drum burst while feeding and he associated the pain with feeding.
For a week he'd make feeding noises, look really pleased as I got ready, but as soon as I put him to the breast, would pull back and cry. I had to wait until he was asleep and then he'd feed fine.
Gradually he started feeding again though.

I think you should ask for a dietitian appointment. I had a child that was very difficult over solid food but bf happily and was growing and gaining weight. We needed help with transitioning over to solids.
The dietitians were very keen that they saw children as soon as possible with issues so they could get strategies place to increase eating to avoid an older child food refusing.
Anyway it all worked out for us in the end and I’m just left with a very fussy eater. It is different to the fussiness of my younger child, who is fussy unless she’s really hungry and then will eat whatever is put in front of her. Eldest still won’t do that.
