My baby only got one tooth

Hi all, is it normal that my baby only got one bottom tooth? he’s almost 7 months but i’ve read they are supposed to come in pairs, however my baby has this only tooth since about 5 months old. No sign of the other pair it’s a bit weird? Cause there’s 3 teeth on the top already coming out, and i’m worried cause the internet says they’re supposed to come in pairs

No, they often do but not always.

One tooth not unusual at this age (and probably very cute!)

My eldest didn’t get a tooth until 14 months so I wouldn’t worry too much at 7!

DS didn't have any teeth until about 3 weeks before his first birthday. I was beginning to think that there was a world of infant dentures that I knew nothing about!

He got one tooth to start with, then 6 more within a month.

Because I had no local family/childcare when he was born, he came to the dentist with me when he was about 6 months old. Dentist checked his gums... he's been coming to the dentist with me every 6 months ever since - he's nearly 16!

That's perfectly normal, nothing to worry about. Saying this as a daughter of 2 dentists.

My daughter didn't have any until after 1. Just meant she got a few in very quick succession later on. All through now at 2.5
