Looking for some advice!!!!
I have a 7 week old baby who has this on her face, she started getting it at 5 weeks. It's raised and bumpy she gets it all over her face as you can see&done her neck even sometimes in her hair. I mentioned it when I had my 6/8week follow up appointment. And was told that it's just blocked up paws but if you Google it. It says about it being white heads and white spots which is not what she has. Not sure it's heat rash because the days it's been cold she's still had it. It does go down!

Just need a bit of advice

This looks like the rash one of my baby's had when they had a milk allergy. Does she have any other symptoms?

Mushroo · 17/08/2024 12:32

Looks like eczema which could be exacerbated by an allergy (likely milk given her age).

Does she has any gastro symptoms?

If she’s completely well otherwise with no other symptoms, I would by reticent to cut out dairy without testing as you can then get allergies forming. But if she’s getting digestive issues as well try and cut dairy for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.

Been told that it's nothing to do with milk as the rash doesn't show up when she's had milk! Maybe I need to make an appointment

No other symptoms other than the skin? It only just started showing up the last 2 weeks tho?

That’s good! It might just be a bit of baby eczema then which is much better than a dairy allergy.

Try a bit of emollient (you can get it for free from the GP, we used Epaderm) and see if that clears it up.

No other symptoms other than the rash and
the rash doesn't get worse when she's had milk if anything it starts to calm down

She is very cute! I haven’t seen blocked pores as prominent as that on a baby. They do get all sorts of rashes which can just settle on their own, but I would ask for another GP opinion initially and if they are not sure then dermatology should take a look. She’s still very little so it is important nothing is missed.

My new born had bad baby ache from about 3weeks till about 12weeks. Look exactly like this. Goes away on its own

Applesandbananaz · 17/08/2024 23:10

This looks like baby acne to me - especially if no other symptoms. My baby had this for a few weeks - it went away on its own after a few weeks
