So my little one spiked a high temp 38.9 last night after her vaccinations we were treating with calpol but had given the max dose in 24 hours so went to hospital where it didn't spike again and all was well we came home . She is currently reading at 37.6 but feels very hot would you give calpol ? I know 38 is considered a fever and so dont want to give paracetamol unnecessarily but also don't not want to give it if I should ?

How is she in herself?

If she is feeding, active as much as she usually would be, waking as normal and not miserable then I wouldn’t give calpol for a temperature of 37.6c as it’s barely above the top of normal range (36-37.5c)
