I'm probably over reacting but I lifted my 3 year old out of the car yesterday and he fell to the floor. As I helped him up it was as though he couldn't balance. I asked him what happened and he said "it's slippy"
Then when walking around the car he visibly couldn't put weight on his left leg. After literally a minute or 2 he was back to normal and he said "leg hurted me" I put it down to pins and needles/ dead leg. He had fallen asleep on a 20 min journey and was rear facing.
I just can't shake the feeling of unease though..he's my 4th and this has never happened to any of my others.
He has an immune condition that puts him in a high risk category for developing lymphoma or leukemia. So obviously I'm well researched in the signs and symptoms to look out for. Leg pain and / or weight baring is actually one of them.
I know this sounds silly, I'm panicking about cancer because my child had a dead leg. Believe me I wish I wasn't this triggered but we've been through a lot.
So basically, can anyone reassure me is this normal to happen to a 3 year old? Before I contact his health team (again).
I'm really trying to panic less as there is currently no evidence of disease. But it's hard.
