9 month old diarrhoea bug

Hoping to get some advice and reassurance about my 9 month old DS. He is our first, so have no real reference point!

He started with the bad poos and being unsettled yesterday evening. Basically arching his back, crying, writhing around and wouldn't go to sleep at his usual bedtime. He cut a lateral incisor that same day, so we put it down to teething, plus the humid 30 degree heat. He finally settled after doing a rather random wet poo, but then woke 2 hours later, again unsettled. Thinking this was still teething, we gave calpol and anbesol and he settled down for the night. He woke at 6am and I walked into his room to find he had done another poo and leaked it all onto his cot sheet...

Today in total he has had around 6 bouts of wet yellow sour smelling diarrhoea. We have just given him bland food of bread, porridge (oat milk) and bananas, which he has eaten ok. After each meal he had a bout of diarrhoea. We have been offering him lots of water, breastfeeds and also tried some dioralyte (he basically shunned it). He seems mostly ok in himself, though overtired and sometimes seeming a bit crampy.

I have managed to get him down for the night, but worried he will get dehydrated and because he is very overtired not signal to us that there is a problem. Typically we go away on holiday on Friday (UK thankfully) so hoping he will turn a corner by then.

Does this sound viral or teething related? It seems a bit much for teething. Would you be doing anything different? Should we try and see the GP tomorrow for a check over?

As you can tell....pfb and obviously been on Dr google too much.
