Hi I'm making this thread because my dd is 9 years old and has had breast buds since being 8 that have formed into almost proper breasts also has body sweat daily that she uses deodorant for, she has developed spots on her head and I have noticed that she has a lot of pubic hair which is so bizarre to me, surely she is too young to start her period, I was 11, so was all my siblings, she just seems so young, she is very tall for her age. I think I'm just scared and wanting some advise, she is very hormonal recently. Bad attitude ect. Should I take her to the doctors, she is a spring baby so not long had her ninth birthday, any advise from people with similar experiences please, thanks.

It looks like this is within the normal age range and there maybe some details here which will put your mind at rest: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/early-or-delayed-puberty/

Early or delayed puberty

Read about the signs of early or delayed puberty, what can cause it and how it can be treated.

She's in the normal age range. 8+ is considered as normal for the age to start puberty, although the average is 10 - 11. It's not that uncommon to start periods in primary school.

My friend spoke with the school and the GP and her children were diagnosed with precious puberty, they had some counselling due to being the only ones going through it at such a young age.

Has she spoken to you about this at all? Doctors will treat it as normal. Exercise is encouraged to help keep it at bay a bit longer but there are no guarantees.
