Is this cat bite infected??

Hi mums, 4 year old DD got bit by a cat 5 days ago, currently on antibiotics for 3 days now, does this look like it’s healing or still infected? Wondering if it needs cleaned out?

Cat bites can be extremely dangerous. That looks worrying. I think I would draw a line in the skin around the redness, so you can track if infection is spreading and call 101 for advice. I wouldn't wait until tomorrow.

I wouldn't attempt to clean it out yourself either .

I was sent straight to the hospital after a feral kitten bit me had a tetanus shot and antibiotics. The nurse said you don't mess about with cat bites.

So I would be concerned after three days.

Certainly call for advice - is the skin warm in that area? Does your child have a temp? Check if redness is creeping outwards
