Could this be an anal fissure?

My 12 year old had a small amount of bleeding after pooing about 2 weeks ago - very small amount i assumed it was maybe a slight tear so we upped water etc and nothing since.

tonight she called me to see and she had bled more but this time enough to see in the toilet and on her hand when she wiped.

she had NO pain (which seems unusual for a fissure) and has no other symptoms like stomach pain.

could this still be a tear with no pain? She doesnt seem hugely constipated.

should i go to out of hours tomorrow or gp monday?

If she's not in any pain, able to poo and pass wind and eat/drink okay then I'd wait to Monday for the GP as there isn't much an out of hours doctor can do other than examine her back passage but any blood tests or referrals will be easier done through family doctor.

I'd say no as an anal fissure is AGONY to pass a number 2.

Could be an internal pile. See the GP tomorrow. It's not an urgent issue if a small amount.

Im not sure if its a small amount blood always looks worse than it is doesnt it!

when she wiped it was enough for the blood to be running down her hand and it looked like a blood clot in the toilet or a poo that was very bloody maybe.

it didnt continue like that so i assume thats not too much!
