DEXA Scan At 2 Years Old

Hi,

My little one has been referred for a DEXA scan after breaking her leg twice in 7 weeks from small falls.

Has anyone’s little one had one and can tell me about the process? Google says they need to stay still for 10-20 minutes, which we all know doesn’t happen in a toddler 😅

She will be 2 next week.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

@TheShiningCarpet thank you! Thought it may be something like that but haven’t been told anything in advance and the appointment is in a couple of weeks. Will have a look at the link, thank you!

It’s a long doc probably not designed for patients (although you may find it fascinating)

don’t worry they will take good care of you both I’m sure - hope it goes well
