Does your 12 months old baby respond on their name 100% of the time?

Mine was responding since 6-11 month, but lately I am not sure is it some development step where he is focused on other things, but he is mostly ignoring me when I say his name and we are next to each other, he will rather look at toys, play with other stuff, etc.
Hovewer, If I go to other room and say his name he will come immediately smiling at looking at me.

Otherwise, he met all the milestones except calling us, his parents. He constantly talks mamama,bababa,dadada,nanana but I am not sure does he understands the context. But on the other side, when he see a cat, he calls her kitt,kitt. He also already met 50% of milestones for 15 months.

I am very anxious person and worried due to this responding to name since Dr. Google says baby should always respond, so not sure is that literally the case. How is your experience?

To add a little light humour - wait until he's a teenager and he will 100% ignore his name unless there's money involved 😉

No human responds to their name 100% of the time. We can all get lost in what we are doing and tune out to the world around us.
If my daughter or partner responds half the time I call their names I'm happy!

I remember with baby no. 1 being obsessed with milestones and getting paranoid about their development and possible or imagined problems - mine was the whole walking thing.

Honestly, on no. 2 and I have no idea of the milestones anymore! You just come to realise they get to all these things in their own sweet time.
