DS bloody diarrhoea

DS2 has got a sickness and diarrhoea bug, there’s one going around and he started with it yesterday.

He’s just told me that he had blood on the toilet paper yesterday when he pooed after stomach pains, and again in diarrhoea today. He’s now moved on to being sick instead and is hot/cold and very tired.

part of me is becoming increasingly anxious about the blood. Is this part of the bug?

It could be a pile or fissure if he has gone to the toilet a lot but ask him to show you next time and take to GP if it continues tomorrow.
Poor lad.

Thanks. He's feeling much better today thank goodness, although not great.

I phoned the GP this morning as a precaution and they said they need to examine him. And the next available appointment is next Monday! Not quite sure what that will achieve. They did say I could ring the appointments line at 8.30am any day in between if it happens again.

Not that useful…that’s a week away and he will likely be better (or very much deteriorated) by then. Fingers crossed it’s the former and that he is back to his normal self soon.
