HiI am quite stressed our. My little girl has an incipient bronchiolitis. We are following the Dr's orders. Her nappy from last night was almost dry. Today she made very very little pee. The nappy she has had for 4h only has small yellow spots, not wet. I am panicking a lot, but my husband says I am overreacting. She is in good shape otherwise, happy and now sleeping calmly... I tried nursing her as much as possible... If we wait until the morning, could it be too much? Please share if you have any experience on the topic. I am crazy with worry.

I'd be calling 111. Is she taking any liquid at all?

MultiplaLight · 13/07/2024 20:22

Is she drinking?

If she has had no wet nappies for at least 12 hours then you need to take her to a&e as she could be severely dehydrated which requires immediate attention.

I nursed her, including now i am breastfeedingher, but I don't know how much She had. She did pee, but very little. Once when we were preparing for bath and a bit in the nappy, but it is just yellow, not wet...

Weigh the nappies - weigh one and note how many g they are. Then you can figure out exactly how much urine is coming out.

Take her to a&e don't wait.

My lo had this when he was 7 weeks old, the only thing they will treat with bronch with is oxygen or a feeding tube, as you're also breastfeeding I would be taking her into A&E as her nappies are dry and it's very difficult to say if she's had 50% less feed than usual. It can be very scary but please remember little ones go down fast but they come back up just as quickly too. Hugs OP and hope your little girl is better soonBiscuit

It might be nothing but not peeing is a sign of sepsis.

Please go to a&E. x

Give her some boiled water and see how she is,
