Children’s continence pants

My 4.5 year old DS has been out of nappies in the day for about 6 months. Still wearing at night about to stop.

He knows when he needs to go, but doesn’t love going and therefore is leaking into his pants throughout the day. Often a tiny amount (a few drops) but multiple times each day. The problem is that it smells really bad. At first I thought he had a UTI but he’s been to doctor and all fine - this has been going on months so confident it’s not that. I think it’s happening a lot, he has quite concentrated wee (not a great drinker) and it’s against his hot little body. He said a child at school called him smelly today which has broken my heart. I can smell it when I’m changing him and when he’s in my space, but no one else (grandparents for example) have said anything.

So, are there pants for children that actually absorb and neutralise urine? Or do we need to consider pads. We aren’t under services - in fact, I don’t think there is a service locally.
