Tomato glasses are a great option for children this age and are what the vast majority of our youngest patients wore at the eye hospital I worked at, the most important thing is glasses that fit well and stand up to some wear and tear, the adjustable length sides of tomato glasses are also really useful for little ones that are going to grow quickly. There are other specialised frames for young children , if the glasses are not being dispensed at the hospital you may struggle to get well fitting frames at some opticians

Thank you :)
weve been to two opticians that came recommended but her face is so small we are struggling to get glasses that fit. She’s now in the baby frames but wondering if there were any better options

There are miraflex and similar which are very flexible bendy frames available in baby sizes but some opticians will not have anything suitable , opticians can claim a supplement to the voucher (SFS) if they need to adapt a stock frame. Many opticians do not dispense glasses for babies and toddlers very often which is why it can be difficult. If it was my child I would stick with the tomato frames as I consider them the best for this age group
