Veruccas and warts multiplying!!!!!

My daughter has had a vercucca for a few years and bow she has about 5 on one foot and some warts on fingers. We have tried every remedy known to man! Freezing, bazucca, foot clinic, banana peel, apple
cider vinegar, duct tape. What else can we try as they seem to be multiplying and she’s a teenager so she is not dealing with how they look on fingers at all!

You can get them frozen at your doctors surgery. It does hurt and blister

Stressheadmumma · 08/07/2024 19:58

Thanks. Doctors won’t do anything and all private clinics won’t freeze them for children around here anyway. I’ve called most of them. She’s been once and they just put sacylic acid on and didn’t work. Feels they don’t want to budge.

How old is your daughter? If their painful they should treat. If not just keep filing them down and use bazooka

Pandax3 · 08/07/2024 20:31

I got rid of my veruccas with nail varnish - painted over them completely, left for days (topping up as needed to keep covered) and then filed down and reapplied. I used dark nail varnish but I imagine thick clear varnish would work too if conscious of how they look on her hands. Took about 6 weeks but got rid of two huge verrucas and all my smaller ones disappeared too.

I couldn't quite believe it, but was made up as it was my last ditch attempt before spending ££££ on the laser treatment.

You say you used Bazooka but did you use it the way its supposed to be used?
I only ask as when my son had one I missed days and didnt really bother and verrucas stayed put. Only when i got the extra strength one, and applied every single day and filed off every single day, did they start shifting and touch wood, has been gone for 6 months now

This. You need to file it down every day and keep at it. I get them often and it’s tedious 🙁

Duct tape worked for us, took 6 months though

AccidentalTourism · 08/07/2024 21:41

Go see a private podiatrist and ask for Verrutop. Dehydrates Verruca and Warts with great success.

PollencaCalling · 08/07/2024 21:42

Could you try the home Bazuka freezing kit? Worked for DD and a very stubborn verruca years ago

Stressheadmumma · 09/07/2024 06:39

I have been using a freezing one on her. Maybe a scholl one but hasn’t worked. Says only allowed to do it 4 times which we have or possibly 5! Thank you though.

I could have written your post a year ago and then I discovered this....

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Scholl-Verruca-Wart-Complete-Treatment/dp/B07NXTGT4H/ref=mpssa113pppf30oomorri?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.oTTTH-ZZiaIjaFYY0HnfjLKgoF0kiNyzh2qWhIrnrr3Qrd2v9d0j1PGOqso7sqciX4zK3eU0WunW7YunhfJ1zatkWrlIFbPd7oD3R2Y0dBNIL8DY3VmAiSNs5OP63AnSG2obBcefMBGIhRpNpRaRl0pXjLApeD6NVkQl6h1e4IHtgYZgmQBuzWj5hEFzXNcs7DMIDX984DEHa9gtTr2w.jGnqaKd1Ooy6koXwyIGcYzH7MsDmnsICow2b7q-PQZw&dibbtag=se&keywords=scholl+verruca+and+wart+pen&qid=1720506030&sr=8-3

I bought it in Boots and told the pharmacist I'd bought every product under the sun, had paid the private podiatrist etc and that I'd be back for a refund if this was another product that doesn't work. I had to eat my words as it has been a miracle product for us. Read the reviews on Amazon. It's worked for loads of people in similar circumstances.

Poor DD had them on her hands and knees. They were absolutely horrible.

I know this site hates homeopathy but I went to a homeopath when I was 12 and the treatment (sulphur) totally cleared them up. My mum took me after having unsuccessful and painful freezing. She was sceptical and I had no idea what homeopathy was and didn't think would work but it did.

yoshiblue · 09/07/2024 07:33

Your poor daughter. I finally got rid of a 15+ year old verucca with Bazuka freezing kit. I think it only says to use a few times but I did all 12 applications, once per week and it's finally gone.

Superscientist · 09/07/2024 09:09

Be careful when filing them as they spread more easily when they bleed.

I had lots as a teenager and then one day I looked at my hands and feet and realised they had all gone! I had done all sorts to get rid of them but in the end my body found the virus causing them and that was that. I haven't had any since
