Can stress cause UTI??

Its my husband / their dad's 5th anniversary this weekend since he died (I am trying to hide my emotions from the kids but maybe not as well as I thought).

My daughter 13 has been weeing so much more over the last 24 hours / had some accidents today, has classic UTI signs of pain when peeing, a strong smell, dark weeing and wetting herself. I have a GP appointment at 12 noon tomorrow for her. I've got her a hot water bottle for her belly pain and she is on a towel just incase. Shes had Paracetamol but it doest seem to help. Is there anything else I can do tonight.

I guess I am so maxed out I dont know what else do to for her x

Weeing in the bath, or while pouring some water down there can make it a bit less painful. Paracetamol and ibuprofen, and drink loads. She probably tempted to restrict
So she doesn't have to wee as much, but this will make it worse.

Honestly I wouldn't wait for the GP appointment. Do you have a walk in or urgent care near by?

@WorriedMumOfThree83 I didnt think the bath would help but I will give it a good or pouring water down her as she treies to go.

Sadly there is no walk in or urgent care open or even around us. I have been thinking / waiting for my sister to come to see weather we call out of hours but will they just say the same thing

Feel your pain, our nearest urgent care (aside from a&e) is 50 minutes away!

How did you get on at the drs? UTIs are absolutely miserable. Hope she has got a couple of doses of antibiotics inside her now.

@WorriedMumOfThree83 confirmed UTI at the GP and give some antibiotics. She deffo feels dreadful x
