Rash and when to worry.

We’re in Cyprus on holiday. My daughter was suffering with intermittent rashes on her legs before we came and the pharmacist said it looked like heat rash. Since we’ve been away it’s been on her legs a bit but has come up quite bad on her face. It’s kind of mottled/lacy. Very red. Her legs are itching. She’s ok in herself. No temp 36.8. It wasn’t there when we woke up this morning but appeared over breakfast. The DR here said it’s atopic dermatitis but from reading up on it, it doesn’t seem to look right and isn’t dry or cracking. Anyone experienced anything similar or have any idea what it could be?

I’m assuming you’ve done the glass test, so give her some antihistamines and see what happens.

This sounds like slapped cheek. It's everywhere where we are (south east), my daughter had/has it and it sounds just like you describe. The rash appeared on her face last, it was first legs then arms. It also tends to appear/disappear and gets more prominent when she's hot. It can stick around for 3 weeks.

If it's this I wouldn't worry too much, it's viral and it doesn't sound like she has too many other symptoms with it.

We have just been away and my daughter came up in a rash on any bare skin after being on the beach.
We put aqueous cream on it every night, have antihistamines for the itching and it would be gone by morning and would then appear again in the afternoon and get worse through the evening.
Since being at home she hasn't had it at all
