What could this rash be??pictures

Daughter aged 5 woke up with this rash on her arms and legs but also on the rest of her body but not as bad. My 3 year old has something similar I noticed at bedtimes on his lower arm.

I have rang doctors and they said to email a photo in but they haven’t replied yet. Both kids are fine in themself but have had a bad cough the last week or so, could it be a viral rash?

It could be slapped face (one of mine started like that before it spread to the face)
If it's rough like sandpaper, it could be scarlet fever
It could be measles-have they had the jab/been in contact, but I don't think so; it doesn't look quite right.

But yes, it could be a viral rash. Try giving some piriton.
