Stool withholding tips - 2.5yo not potty trained

Looking for advice re. extreme stool withholding for my 2.5yo DD, specifically how to encourage her to poo in a nappy when she evidently needs to go. I have read the Sophia Ferguson and Anthony Cohn books (recommended on other threads) whose advice seems more tailored towards potty trained children and encouraging them to sit on the toilet routinely to poo - with rewards etc.
Currently DD will mostly poo at nap or bedtime (more frequent due to ongoing picosulfate and movicol (though does not take anywhere close to enough movicol)) but nothing seems to cover how to approach this to encourage poos whilst awake for children still wearing nappies?
