Mark on hip??

this has just appeared on 6 year old. He’s saying it’s sore to touch. Any ideas what it could be? Perhaps impetigo?
it’s about 2-3cm

Looks like a chicken pox. Are there any others? Has he been a bit poorly recently?

Thanks for this. Randomly, he had chicken pox exactly 1 year ago to the day.

it’s looking very gunky today now and he’s said he thinks it’s a scratch from our puppy- so off to the chemist we go!
