feel terrible, im so tired i normally give my 8 month old saline baby nasal spray when hes stuffy but i accidentally gave him my adult hayfever beconase spray instead 🤦🏻‍♀️ did 1 spray in each nostril while he was laying down and i think some went into the back of his throat so a tiny bit might have been ingested. he was fine and happy for the hour until i realised, hes asleep now as it was late past bed time. seems ok but im now really paranoid ive tried to look it up but not much info and im worrying. dont want to go A&E for no reason. am keeping an eye on his breathing incase. any advise or even similar experiences would ease my mind

Please don't feel bad. It was an innocent mistake, and god knows we have all made plenty of those Flowers

I am no expert in child health and I don't know much about nasal spray either, but babies are remarkably durable little creatures. It's really unlikely he's come to any harm, especially if he isn't visibly unwell at this point. Try not to worry too much.

How is he this morning OP?

Polelpuv · 24/06/2024 08:26

Don’t feel bad, as pp says it was just a mistake and we’ve all had our moments! That’s good you spoke to 111, how did the night go? Hope you got some sleep.

I’m really thankful you write this post as I have also done the same and I feel like the worst mam. I have been on the phone to 111 and they’re having the doctor ring me. I feel dreadful and hoping everything is alright. Sleep deprivation is awful and but we all make mistakes.
