Slapped cheek?

So this week has been awful. Started last last Saturday (so 9 days ago) with DD1 (age 5) getting what I thought was just a weird virus as she didn’t really appear to have much in the way of symptoms apart from complete lack of appetite and high fever.

DS then vomited everywhere multiple times on Wednesday.

DD2 (age 1) then started with the high fevers on Wednesday night.

Eldest then came out in a red rash on her face. DS wasn’t sick again until today, when we had projectile vomit once again. He’s got a very mild face rash. 1yo is nearly recovered, although has the worst rash by some distance, whole torso now covered.

My main concern though is that my eldest is still really ill, off food etc, intermittent low fever - can this still be slapped cheek? It’s been nearly ten days! Thanks in advance

Yes ..when we all had it ,it was horrendous . The gift that kept giving .

I've only known slap cheek to be fairly mild.

How ill is the eldest? Low fever and a bit low energy/off food doesn't sound too bad. If she's bed ridden/not eating at all/hard to wake/short of breath/very pale I'd give 111 or your GP a call.

@Wonkywinky thank you- good to know it’s not just us!

@NuffSaidSam she’s not terribly unwell, definitely no issues waking etc and temperature in the low 38s. It’s just that she doesn’t seem to be able to shake it off? Her symptoms now are very similar to what they were over a week ago…?

Slapped cheek can be mild (we only knew my oldest had it because of the rash-she wasn't ill at all) or severe (child I nannied was hospitalised with it).
