My 15month old chewed the water bottle lid and caught his tooth I’ve spoken to 111 and a near by dentist whom haven’t been helpful other than dab it with a cotton bud and keep it clean.

I’ve not managed to get an urgent appointment they’ve given me an ID number and notes from 111 but have told me to call again tomorrow

any advise please? I’m distraught

What is your particular concern? Bleeding? Infection? Is the tooth damaged?

You've already spoken to a dentist - if that's all they've suggested, then it suggests that is all there is to do about it.

Cuts in the mouth heal by themselves - there's nothing you can do about it apart from provide pain relief.

Mainly concerned about the tooth injury, it’s bleeding quite a bit every now and again I think as the teeth are used (only giving soft diet currently to minimise risks.) they’ve suggested A&E but the nurse in A&E said to go to the dentist but the dentist are sending me back to A&E so I’m just being passed around. I’m just worried about the damage to his mouth really I’ve not checked if it’s wobbly as I don’t want to mess around as it looks quite sore, and then yes would also be worried about infection he’s now allowing me to brush it so I’ve been putting his 0-3 toothpaste on a cotton bud and dabbing it in hope it helps
