Any tips in getting kids to take medication

My son is autistic and ADHD. We started the ADHD medication journey yesterday and we are having some real struggles getting him to swallow the capsule. Any tips or tricks we could try?

Have you tried practising with something much smaller, like a tic-tac, or non-drowsy antihistamine tablet if he has hayfever anyway.

The thing with capsules is that they're in that casing to get the medication to the best point in digestion before it releases the med so I'd avoid breaking the capsule to mix the powder with honey or whatever is sometimes suggested.
