Can I catch a break?

Spent the last 3 days in hospital with my youngest (1) who's being treated for tonsillitis and sepsis

We've come home today and my eldest (3) has been being sick non stop. Started at 10pm last night and can't keep anything down. Not even water

Sat here thinking I hope this stops so I don't have another hospital stay with a difference child 😣

Also don't want the youngest to get the sickness bug given that she's already suffering with infection!

Just a rant I guess... poor kids

I am soooo exhausted though. Please tell me it's gonna get better real fast!

I really know the feeling
i have 4 kids. The youngest 3 always catch it from each other and recently i dont stay out of the queue either. When is it time for us to rest and why cant people keep their kids at home when they are sick so ours wont catch it at school

It's relentless isn't it! My two usually aren't too bad with illness - a day or so and usually not feeling too bad this this seems to hit them both hard

The eldest is still being sick, still can't even keep water down. Must have been in with him every hour last night

My god I need some sleep!

Oh Christ that's soul destroying. You must be exhausted and stressed. Have you got help, a partner or family member?

febbabies2023 · 05/06/2024 20:25

@Nogodsnomasters my partner and I split up in Feb but on good terms and live together so we've been working together (mostly haha)
The eldest got taken into hospital too after continuing to vomit absolutely everything up so it's been a week!

Hopefully it all settles soon

Oh Op what a shambles. Are they okay? Did they end up dehydrated? How is the little one getting on with the throat? I really feel for you. I'd be ready to sign into a mental institution at this rate but that's me I have health anxiety!

febbabies2023 · 06/06/2024 12:34

@Nogodsnomasters thankfully both okay! The youngest has gone back to nursery today, completely fine in herself with some antibiotics to make sure she's infection free!
The eldest went in and was given some anti sickness, some glucose thing to raise his blood sugars and some hydration. He came home the same night and thankfully hasn't been sick since. Still not quite himself but he's on the mend!

Hopefully this is the end of it all 🤞🏼
