Hi,
I’ looking for advice for my DD (9). She is suffering terribly with hay fever.
Runny nose, but it’s her eyes being so inflamed and itchy that’s causing the most distress.
she takes Cetrizine twice a day, becodefence nasal spray and potted allergy eye drops. Washes her face regularly.
Any other pearls of wisdom we can try?

Beconase nasal spray rather than the becodefense. It says not for use in under 18 years but the GP prescribed it for DS when he was five so I just buy OTC now. Check with your GP first though.

Windows shut.

Change out of outdoor clothes when she comes in.

Bedding dried in a dryer rather than on the line.

Vaseline around her nostrils can help trap pollen

Air purifiers work well

Has she tried any other antihistamines? People respond differently to them. Fexofenadine works best for me and DS.

It's a miserable time of year!

@Notsonifty50 Thanks for your reply.
your right, if you suffer, it really is a miserable time of year.
Ive done an econsult with the GP and have a t/call booked in for Friday to hopefully prescribe those things 🤞
