Hi all,

My almost 3 year old DS has chicken pox, can’t out 2 days ago. My daughters were not as bad as this and she wasn’t ill. He is absolutely covered. Does he need to see a doctor, is this considered a bad case? My 11 week old also has it, but mild. Does she need to be seen? I’ve heard of some hospital admissions so just wanted some opinions. Thanks 😊

No. That looks normal to me. Give him some calpol if you need to but not ibuprofen.

I had to take my youngest to the doctor with chicken pox because his was infected

@Soubriquet thank you, how did you know his was infected?

It was quite obvious. They were bright red, weeping and looked incredibly sore

It’s the ones that are around his mouth that were infected. Can you see? They are a lot redder than the other spots, weeping, and sore. They also “look” infected.
