Chickenpox spots?

Our daughter woke up with 3 spots on her face this morning which look like they could be chickenpox spots. 6 hours later still no new spots and the current ones haven’t changed. We had a terrible night with her waking constantly which is very unusual and to add she seems like she’s got a bad cold (very snotty etc).
We know chickenpox is doing the rounds at the moment and have friends children whom have had it in the past weeks. Came in to contact with another child whose sister had pox 16 days ago (this child then caught pox a few days later…).
When should I expect more spots or know for sure it’s chickenpox? Thank you!

If that's chickenpox, and I suspect it is from what you say, I think you'll know by tomorrow. Expect a lot more spots overnight. Having a bad night before the spots come out is classic. The contact 16 days ago is about right for the incubation period too, the child who came out in spots a few days later was almost certainly infectious when you saw her. If it is chickenpox your child is very infectious now. Wishing her the mildest of doses Flowers

If it's chicken pox you'll know by either bedtime tonight or definitely by tomorrow morning.

Certainly seems likely it's CP. My dc's worst spots were on their trunk and they kept coming out over a few days.

Thank you all! I also posted this on one of the groups on Facebook and a couple of mums have said hand foot and mouth?! Didn’t even think of that one…. Now it’s going to be even more of a waiting game…!

DD1's chickenpox was not much more than that.
Unfortunately she gave it to dd2 who was 6 months old and she had it really badly. She didn't have spots, she was just covered with a spot, including inside her mouth etc.

Chickenpox spots will turn into blisters and be very itchy.
My DD had hand foot & mouth which looked more like this.
