Pinprick rash

Hi everyone,

we’ve woken up today with our DS, who is 3, having a rash just on his face. It is pinprick like and on his eyelids, cheeks and forehead.

He isn’t unwell, no temperature, running around the house like his usual self. Is it something to worry about, or is it something like heat rash? He’s had a bad cough so I wonder if it’s from coughing too hard?

I’d give antihistamines and see if it goes.

Does it go under a glass?
Looks a bit like petechia as there are some dark spots.
Has he had a screaming fit recently? They can burst blood vessels in their face when crying hard. Or being sick?

Ah just read your post again, could be little burst blood vessels from coughing. As long as nowhere else on his body I wouldn't worry. My daughter got it every time she was sick x
