Non itchy chickenpox

Hi All,

My DD (3) has been developing spots and blisters for the last 3 days all over her body (around 70-ish so far). She seems to have all the tell tale signs of chickenpox with the red spots turning into clear fluid filled blisters but she is not at all itchy.

We had a Visio appointment with the DR who said he thought chickenpox but when I mentioned she wasn't itchy was far less certain. Have you ever experienced non-itchy chickenpox? It'd be good to get clarity to know whether we are likely to have ticked off chickenpox or whether she is likely to get it and also to consider vaccination if she hasn't had it by the time she becomes a teenager.

My DD's spots weren't itchy. Was definitely chicken pox and she had tons of spots and fever but no itching. I did keep on top of it with Poxclin as a preventative

Thank you! I appreciate the answer. Still no itching here though she has been more clingy this evening so think she is a bit out of sorts.
Am currently waiting to see if the spots scab over and then I think I'll be a bit more clear that it is chickenpox.

Still remember the itching from when I had chickenpox as a child so DD could get away with no itching that'd be great!
