DS4 balantis?

Chonk2023 · 18/05/2024 11:58

My son has come to me this morning and said his penis is painful.
I've looked and the foreskin is red, slight discharge and he has pain when urinating.
Quick Google suggests balantis so I have gently cleaned with water and given ibuprofen, should I be doing anything else? GP Monday or call 111?
Any advice appreciated

I would call 111. DS ended up at A&E whe he had this.

When my son had this we went to the GP and got a prescription for Cannisten and antibiotics. It was exactly the same thrush cream as you'd give an adult woman and he is only 6.

Personally I would go get some thrush medication to soothe him until you can get to the GP Monday for the antibiotics.

Dr told us to use caneston cream and a mild steroid cream

I have steroid cream but no caneston. He doesn't seem in that much pain now but it is still red with some discharge. OOH GP is going to call me back.
He was playing with a stretchy toy in the bath last night and it bloody popped cos he stretched it too far and spilt a load of salty stuff into the bath so I wonder if it's that! Got him out straight away but a sensitive area o suppose .
Thanks for the advice
