Breast bud in 8 year old

DD is 8 years 6m and last night told me her nipple felt strange. I had a bit of a poke and can feel what seems to be a breast bud which she said felt tender. It's just on one side at the moment, i know that can happen. Other than being a bit temperamental and sensitive recently, she doesn't have any other signs of puberty.

I'm not sure what I'm asking really - maybe some reassurance that she's not too young? I think she's just on the earlier side of normal for puberty to start.

Thankyou for the reply.

Hopeful bump to see if anyone else has experienced this?

My dd developed breast buds at 8 yrs 2 months. She started periods just before turning 11. She’s now 12. It is on the early side but in the normal range. Biggest issue we have is her dealing with all the hormones and basically teenage emotions at a relatively young age, it’s hard.

Should be fine. I started my periods at 9!

Very normal, I was very developed by aged 9 ( big boob genes). My 10 & 12 yos haven’t developed yet but many of their friends were/are by year 5.
