5 months responding to name

am I being over the top here!
My other 2 boys knew their name by 4 months and would turn when you said it. But my third boy is 5 months old yesterday and he doesn't do this.

What age was your baby when they knew their name?

I feel so worried about it.
He's so smiley and giggly and loves watching you talk to him but if I'm at the other side of the room and call him he won't look.
Hearing is fine

Neither of my children were remotely close to responding to their name at 5 months. Much closer to 12 for both of them 🙂 They are both neurotypical (assume that’s what you are concerned about)

Every child has their own timeline and unless you are concerned about any other delays (in which case speak to your HV) I would just keep enjoying your baby! I have a 7 month old who doesn’t seem to respond to her name any more than any other noise…

Hearing:
This may sound so silly but was shopping in Tesco earlier and when I went to put my baby in the car the car alarm next to us started going off really loud making my baby cry and now I’m extremely worried this has damaged my baby’s hearing
