Nappy Rash

Hi! My baby girl out of nowhere developed a horrible nappy rash, so much she cries when we change her nappy, we've tried changing nappyies, wipes, just using cotton and water, giving her nappy free time, oat baths, aveeno, sudocream, Vaseline and her poor little bum is still so sore, even to a point I changed her a minute ago and it's all red and one sore spot was bleeding a little 🥺 I feel so horrible for her because this can't be nice, I change her as often as possible so she's not sat in it for ages, she has lots of nappy free time when we can but I don't know what else I can do to help her, has anyone got any advice? TIA x

Put down puppy pads or similar and keep her nappy off. When you can, get GP to prescribe Timodene; this was the only thing that sorted my DDs horrific nappy rash. You could also buy clotrimazole 1% over the counter in the pharmacy (this is what the pharmacist recommended to me only yesterday) Poor little thing, I really feel for both of you.

@TFMinx thank you! She's nappy free on her changing mat at the moment so hopefully airing it out will help, I will try the one the pharmacy recommended I will get my partner to pop there on his way home if that doesn't work I'll ask the GP to see if they'll give me something for her! Thank you it's horrible isn't it 🥺 I hope your little one is okay x

Have you tried cleaning her with an emollient cream such as zerobase rather than water, or olive oil? Have you tried metanium the yellow nappy cream? Just use a thin layer, and you don’t have to clean it off every time as it coats their bottom.

No problem. My DD is much better after just two applications
