Sons head- mole?

My son has always had moles on his head but this is alarmingly large and looked a bit crusty this evening. I will make a GP appt next week when they reopen but anyone else seen anything like this?

My dd has one like this, I thought it was a birth mark but it's gone darker and raised. Didn't know if it was worth a trip to the drs, maybe I should book one
