My 3 year old is getting acne

I need your thoughts please while I wait for Monday to come to call the GP. My son is getting acne and I’m not sure why and if it’s a concern. The first time he got acne, he was 2 years old and two spots appeared on his face. I didn’t do anything to them. after nearly a year, remnants of one of the spot disappeared completely but there is still this scar like red dot on my son’s face from other spot on his face. Yesterday evening, I noticed my son developing another spot on his face. Another spot has also appeared on his thigh and one on his ankle. Am I not giving him enough baths? I give him a bath twice a week. Is it something else perhaps?

They could be bug bites ?

It isn't acne. Too young and you don't get acne on your ankles. Sounds more like bites. Have you checked his bed?

i don’t believe so as he isn’t scratching it and the puss it very close to that of an acne. 😫it’s like this will all the spots

That looks like bug bites to me.

I’ve checked his bed. There’s nothing there. Check the ceilings, the walls, everything around his room. There’s nothing there.

OP it’s extremely unlikely it’s acne. When he was 2 and got it the first time did you take him to a GP. It could be something like molluscum contagioaum? You don’t get acne on an ankle at 3.

These are the two spots he got when he was two. The “scar” left by the spot on the left has only recently disappeared but the one on the right is still visible and it might take another year to go completely. Or maybe it won’t ever heal at all. I didn’t take him to the GP because he didn’t seem bothered by it at all at that time and nor was I. But more spots have started appearing again and now that he is a year older and notices more, he is bothered by it being on him and keeps touching it. I tell him not to because I don’t want him to pop it and have it scar.

ah ok so he initially just had 2 spots? OP have you been putting sun cream on? I only ask as it looks sunny in those pics. Could he maybe be having a reaction to something like that? Sometimes my DC can get a bit spotty/rashy if the suncream has irritated their skin/they’ve gotten a bit sweaty etc. kids suncream can be pretty think.
But I think seeing the GP on Monday is a good idea for a proper diagnoses. Hope he’s ok
