What are these spots?

On Friday evening I found a couple of spots on 3 yr olds torso which looked like bites.
Fast forward to today and they’ve increased in number and are very red.
She seems fine in herself. No temperature. The spots don’t seem to be bothering her.
She’s already had chickenpox two years ago.
In a panic I’ve checked her bed thoroughly for any bedbugs.
Any ideas wise mumsnetters?
What could they be and should I put anything on them?

What are these spots?

Some of them look a little like molluscum contagiosum, that would be my guess.

They look like chickenpox, but it's unusual to get it more than once....

Chickenpox. Lots of children who get pox under a year old have passive immunity from their mothers so they get it again once that has worn off.

Oh no! Guess she’s not going to nursery tomorrow then. Thank you all.

I don’t think it’s chicken pox or any type of bite. I would go and speak to a Pharmacist to ask for advice.
I would say it’s a fungal infection of some kind.

My son just had this! He has also had chickenpox before and these spots looked identical to your DC- but they never had any heads , weren't filled with fluid etc.

They have slowly faded away over the last 2 weeks!

GP referred me to pharmacy who said it was chickenpox but I knew they looked different. (He only had a quick glance)

Has your dc been unwell? I self diagnosed my ds with a viral rash after I was sure it wasn't the pox.

These do look a bit poxy to me, and I speak as a parent who can see a child with chicken pox right now
