My DD 11 and DS 9 both have the voting bug since this morning. DD work up around 3am unwell and DS since about 9am has been unwell. I am pretty sure it's bug.

My main reason for asking DD is really struggling to wee. She has a fever of 39.8 post calpol I have her in shorts and t-shirt she has gone to the loo so much but is saying she cant wee and only dribbles come out. She is not prone to infections and also says down below hurts. We are in Ireland so have tried to speak to the out of hours GP but waiting for a call back. My son is feeling unwell also has a fever of 38.3.

I have given them both lots of water to try and drink in sips throughout the day. They are both washed out pale

I guess has this happened for anyone else have the D&V bug with a urine infection?
Thank you x

Sounds like they maybe dehydrated rather than having a urine infection!

You lose a lot of water with D&V, sounds like gastroenteritis. If they are not keeping anything down and haven't passed urine they may need IV fluids..

Hope your girls feel better soon

Poor girl ☹️☹️I’d say
it is definitely possible she has a uti - my
dd got one when she had an Awful diahhrea bug. worth getting her checked tomorrow if a night of lots of fluids doesn’t have her more comfortable when peeing / actually able to pass more than a few dribbles. It’s also important she has drinks with sugar and salt in them - full fat coke etc to replenish electrolytes, not just water. good luck and I hope it passes soon X
