My DD is 5 she was unwell for a good part of Easter holiday and before school finished for Easter aswell.

Now from Tuesday this week she developed red cheeks on the face at both sides at first I just thought it was maybe the weather and hayfever so gave some antihistamines and helped a little took it right down but when the antihistamines are due again after 4-6 hours her face goes back the same again! I don’t want to keep giving this as it drowsy GP said on Friday can’t get seen until next Thursday I KNOW! She does get very bad eczema mostly on the legs arms and back never around the face, could any one tell me what this could be she does not have any fever at all or anything she absolutely fine apart form these cheeks I did suspect slapped cheek? But it says it would have a fever with slapped cheek?

I don’t know about slapped cheek but mine had red cheeks and excema until she stopped having dairy. Might be one to consider once you’ve investigated viruses etc

When mine had slapped cheek they had no other symptoms apart from the glowing cheeks. I didn't even realise the first one had it (I'd never heard of it before!) as it was winter & freezing cold so I though his cheeks were just red because of that.
